I love how BJ Daniels isn t afraid to kill people off Her stories are always action packed with badass female characters I couldn t put this one down until the end, which just sucked I hated the sappy end and the blatant tie ins to other books Maybe this is a harlequin thing Probably I think I ll imagine my own ending Jack is no relation to Hud, and Jack and Dillon don t move to Whitehorse Shade left the farm to Dillon instead of slicing out Dillon s old homestead to a ranch for troubled teens Jack keeps her job and she and Dillon enjoy a nice steak dinner every Sunday with the child ren they may or may not have Shade s ghost haunts the place for a few weeks, knocking things over and putting bulletholes in the side of a barn until reda s ashes are scattered in the old swimmin hole they used to skinny dip in Reda s ranch becomes a ranch for troubled old ladies that like to gossip while they go horseback riding Take that, harlequin Big skyI like reading books with Montana land marks Good plot, kept me guessing until the end I will be looking for B J Daniels books.

J Daniels stories.
usually This is the only one of her books that I remember reading just to get through with it, rather than to get to the end One of the reasons was that the couple just didn t seem to match She had her reasons there, I guess, for why she thought they worked, but it just didn t work for me Neither of the characters seemed to be as real as her others The mystery was far too easy, I knew as soon as I was introduced to the character that they were the villain And throwing in a casual reference to another one of her books one of my favorites, the one that started it all for her books as far as I m concerned did not help and was completely unnecessary In fact, I m STILL not sure why she did it Bottom line, this author is a great author, but unless you re just dying for a B.
J Daniels fix and have read EVERY THING else she s written, I wouldn t waste my time with this one.
Jacklyn Wilde arrested Dillon Savage 4 years ago for cattle rustling Now she is getting him released in order to help her capture another gang of rustlers in his old territory Jack believes that Dillon is the mastermind even from prison Dillon is a really intelligent guy, with 3 college degrees to prove it Bad blood, nasty neighbors and a son who can t seen to win the approval of his father Why don t they just put chips in the cows You chip a dog and you lojack a car At 1,000 a pop it would seen to be a good investment But, I forget, this is a romance and things like technology and common sense are often not involved Good cozy romance story and a passable mystery.
